What decides compatibility
- Filter price and replacement interval decide the running cost. A cheap unit with expensive proprietary filters is not cheap.
- CADR should match the room size. An undersized unit runs loud and still lags.
- Most are Wi-Fi and need no hub. Sensor readings (PM2.5 and VOC) do not always pass through to your home system.
- Ionizer and UV modes are optional extras. Some ionizers produce ozone, so check before enabling.
