Smart light switches compatible with Apple Home
Yes, 15 smart light switches in our catalog work with Apple Home. The wiring in your switch box decides more than HomeKit does: most need a neutral wire, and a few need their maker's bridge.
A smart switch replaces the switch in your wall, so the wiring in the box matters before Apple Home does. Most Wi-Fi and Matter switches need a neutral wire, which many older homes do not have at the switch. Lutron Caseta is the common exception and reaches Apple Home through its own bridge, so the bridge is part of the price. Thread switches pair directly but need a HomePod or Apple TV as a Thread border router.

Check these before you buy
- Turn off the breaker, open the switch box, and look for a neutral wire, usually a bundle of white wires. No neutral narrows your list a lot.
- A three-way light (two switches for one light) usually needs a matching companion switch or remote from the same brand. Check before you buy one switch.
- Automations and remote control need a home hub, a HomePod or Apple TV, in the Home app.
Connects directly 6
The maker built this connection to Apple Home. Some of these still need the maker's own hub, and the line under each product says so.

Connects through Matter 7
These join Apple Home through Matter, a shared standard, so no maker's cloud sits in the middle. The ones that use Thread also need a Thread border router, a radio built into some smart speakers and hubs.

These reach Apple Home only through a hub, usually the maker's own. If you do not own that hub yet, add its price to the device's.
Not on this list?
That does not mean it will not work with Apple Home. It means we have not confirmed a path for it yet, and we add connections as we confirm them against the maker's documentation. How we check
