Temperature and humidity sensors compatible with Google Home
Yes, 10 temperature and humidity sensors in our catalog work with Google Home. Google's own Nest Temperature Sensor is a thermostat accessory, not a standalone sensor, and it pairs only with some Nest thermostats.
The sensor Google sells, the Nest Temperature Sensor, is an accessory for the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E, and it does not work with the cheaper Nest Thermostat. For a reading in any room, or humidity at all, you need another maker's sensor. The cheap ones are Bluetooth or Zigbee and reach Google Home only through that maker's hub or gateway, so budget for the box. Wi-Fi models skip the hub but need a plug or go through batteries faster.

Check these before you buy
- If you own a Nest thermostat, check its model first. Only the Learning Thermostat and the Thermostat E take Google's own sensor.
- Ask what you will do with the reading. Google Home can show it; whether a reading can start a routine depends on the sensor, so check that before you count on a humidity-triggered fan.
- Outdoor, fridge, and freezer spots need a sensor rated for the cold, and batteries drain faster there.
Connects directly 1
The maker built this connection to Google Home. Some of these still need the maker's own hub, and the line under each product says so.
Connects through Matter 1
These join Google Home through Matter, a shared standard, so no maker's cloud sits in the middle. The ones that use Thread also need a Thread border router, a radio built into some smart speakers and hubs.
Needs a hub first 8
These reach Google Home only through a hub, usually the maker's own. If you do not own that hub yet, add its price to the device's.

Requires an Aqara Zigbee hub (Thread/Matter via a Thread-capable Aqara hub).

Requires an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub

Requires the Meross MSH300 hub

Works over Bluetooth standalone; a Shelly BLU Gateway adds network/cloud and ecosystem access.

Needs a Zigbee hub/coordinator

Works over Bluetooth with the SwitchBot app; a SwitchBot Hub adds remote access plus Matter/Alexa/Google/HomeKit.
Not on this list?
That does not mean it will not work with Google Home. It means we have not confirmed a path for it yet, and we add connections as we confirm them against the maker's documentation. How we check
